Game Design
I was a research assistant for a team consisting of game designers, sociologists, artists, literary scholars, and researchers. I was trained in an intimate group of ethnographers on the best methods of qualitative and ethnographic research. After weeks of training and discussions, we went into the field to analyze and report on how to gamify a college freshman orientation and design an Alternate Reality Game (ARG), later named The Parasite. I loved every moment of it. The collaborative environment, the conversations across different teams, the details of methodologies, the interplay of creative design and research, and, most of all, the joint goal of designing experiences.
Content Marketing
In my experience with marketing, I brought my passion in storytelling to one of the Bay Area’s top benefits consulting firms. I implemented the company’s blog strategy; wrote, edited, and managed content, presentations, classes, and blog articles; and consulted on the redesign of the company website to improve SEO and branding.
